CWA Bargaining Update Envoy Air - April 28, 2016

APRIL 28, 2016 On April 27 and 28, your elected Bargaining Committee and staff met with the Envoy Bargaining Committee in Dallas at company headquarters. The CWA bargaining team includes:
  • Michael Haight (TVC)
  • Janet Padgett (LAX)
  • Bryce Rea (JLN)
  • Marge Krueger, CWA Administrative Director
  • Richard Honeycutt, Vice President of District 3 and Chair of the CWA Airline Council
The Envoy Bargaining Committee includes:
  • Chris Pappaioanou, Vice President of Legal
  • Kevin Ward, Vice President of Airport Service Planning
  • Chuck Davis, Regional Managing Director
  • Renae Clemens, Analyst-Employee Relations
  • Cassandra Lewis, F&H Solutions Group
At the beginning of the meetings on April 27, Envoy management recognized that our members’ hard work has resulted in the company’s success and put Envoy in a growth position. CWA then presented proposals on the following issues:
  • Bulletin Boards
  • Grievance Procedure
  • Holidays
  • Hours of Service
  • Probation
  • Purpose of Agreement
  • Recognition
  • Reduction in Force
  • Safety and Health
  • Schedule Bidding
  • Successorship
  • System Board of Adjustment
  • Union Security
On April 28, Envoy made counter proposals on Bulletin Boards, Successorship, Recognition, and Purpose of Agreement. Envoy and CWA signed agreements on Recognition, Successorship, Profit Sharing, and Bulletin Boards. Under the Bulletin Boards provision, a place shall be provided inside each station where the Union may post official notices of interest to employees. Nothing defamatory or political may be posted. This is effective immediately. Advisory Board members and Union leaders should work with local management to identify where bulletin boards will be located. The two sides held additional conversations on an interim grievance procedure and furlough procedure as well as several other articles. The Company extended an invitation to participate in their quarterly labor meeting with the other labor groups. The next bargaining dates are May 26 and 27.
