Bargaining Report 8/17

Union Sisters and Brothers,

Your Envoy Bargaining Committee met with the company on July 28th and 29th at CWA Headquarters in Washington DC and on August 12th and 13th in Dallas, TX. Again, your Bargaining Team worked diligently on numerous Article proposals to the Company:

  • Article 5: Invalidation Clause and Application of Agreement
  • Article 7: Probation
  • Article 14: Training, Travel Pay and Expenses
  • Article 16: Hours of Service
  • Article 17: Schedule Bidding
  • Article 20: Filing of Vacancies
  • Article 22: Leaves of Absence
  • Article 23: Reductions in Force/Furlough
  • Article 24: Medical Examination
  • Article 28: Representation
  • Article 31: Union Security and Maintenance of Membership
  • Article 32: Authorized Union Business
  • Article 33: No Strike-No Lockout

There were multiple passes by the Union and the Company on these Articles and through your Bargaining Team's vigilance we were able to achieve four (4) Tentative Agreements on Articles 7, 22, 23 and 33.

While we are encouraged with the progress we have made, it is important to know there is still a difficult road ahead of us in bargaining with Envoy. We have heard your desire for a fair and equitable contract and your Bargaining Team will settle for nothing less.

Our next bargaining session is scheduled for September 17th and 18th in Dallas at Envoy Headquarters. We ask that you continue to support your Bargaining Committee and work safely and to rule.
