On October 3, 2018, the Senate overwhelmingly passed a Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization bill that included critical protections from assault for passenger service agents. The bill also included a long-needed increase in the minimum rest period for flight attendants.
On December 5, newly elected Congresswoman Donna Shalala and State Senator Jose Javier Rodriguez joined Envoy-American Eagle passenger service agents for a rally outside MIA in support of a fair contract and against poverty wages.
Our CWA bargaining committee met with the Envoy bargaining committee on November 5-6. We received a counter offer on Compensation, which we discussed at length. Envoy did increase the wage proposal for DFW slightly.
