Bargaining Report 10/30

Your Envoy Bargaining Committee met with the company virtually on October 21st and 22nd. Our next session is scheduled virtually for November 3rd, and sessions on December 2nd and 3rd at CWA Headquarters in Washington DC.

Again, your bargaining team worked diligently on numerous article proposals:

  • Article 11 Vacation
  • Article 14 Training, Travel Pay, and Expenses
  • Article 16 Hours of Service
  • Article 17 Schedule Bidding
  • Article 18 Overtime
  • Article 19 Attendance at Hearings and Investigations
  • Article 24 Medical Examinations
  • Article 27 Discipline and Discharge
  • Article 31 Union Security and Maintenance of Membership
  • Article 32 Authorized Union Business

There were multiple passes by the Union and the Company on all these articles and your bargaining team has secured a tentative agreement on Article 19: Attendance at Hearings and Investigations. This brings the total of tentative agreements with the company to 14. With this in mind, your bargaining team has begun proposing financial articles such as Article 11 Vacations and Article 18 Overtime.

Your bargaining team met with the CWA research department to work on wage and benefit articles to present to the company. We will meet again with hopes of proposing these articles in the December session.

While bargaining with Envoy has been slow and challenging, your bargaining team is dedicated to bringing you the best possible contract for your approval.

We ask that you support your bargaining committee and continue to work safely and to rule.
