Bargaining Report 2/3

Your Envoy Bargaining Committee met with the company on January 11th and 12th. The Bargaining Team passed several article proposals to the company: Article 2 Scope, Article 3 Recognition and Successorship, and Article 6 Classification. We have come to a tentative agreement on Article 1 Preamble.

The Company answered several of our previous Article proposals: Article 7 Probation, Article 16 Hours of Service, Article 29 Grievance. None of these were to the committee’s satisfaction, and we passed back Article 7 and Article 29 with our demands.

Our next bargaining session is scheduled in Dallas on February 23rd and 24th.

We realize we are at the beginning of the bargaining process, but the company does not seem ready for any significant change to the contract. Our members and your bargaining team demand change and we will continue the fight. Soon we will be calling on all of you to mobilize to make it clear to the company that we need change.

We ask that you support your bargaining committee and continue to work safely and to rule.
